Interior Design Studio

Interiors composed around the way you actually live

SKLM Designs shapes considered, livable spaces — balancing architecture, material, and light with the practical rhythms of everyday life.

The Studio

Design with a point of view, and a plan to execute it

SKLM Designs is an interior design studio led by Shreya Kathpalia and Lakshay Malhotra, working across residential and commercial interiors — building on a practice that began as Apartment 6.

Our approach starts with how a space is actually used, not just how it photographs. Every project moves through the same disciplined arc — consultation, concept, detailing, and execution — so the finished room is as considered up close as it is from the doorway.

We work closely with each client through every decision, from spatial layout to the smallest material finish, so the result feels personal rather than prescribed.

What we offer

General service offerings shaped around residential and commercial interior projects — scoped to fit each client's needs.

Residential Interiors

End-to-end design for homes and apartments — space planning, material palettes, furniture, and styling built around how your household lives.

Commercial Interiors

Interiors for offices, studios, and hospitality spaces designed to support how teams and guests move through a brand's physical presence.

Space Planning

Layout and flow strategy for new builds or renovations — resolving circulation, zoning, and proportion before a single finish is chosen.

Interior Styling

Finishing touches that pull a space together — art, accessories, soft furnishings, and layout refinements for rooms that are already built.

Interior Consultation

A focused session for clients who want expert direction — color, layout, or sourcing guidance — without a full-scope engagement.

How We Work

Design Process

A disciplined five-stage arc that carries a project from first conversation to final styling.

01

Consultation

We start by listening — your space, your constraints, and how you want to live in the finished result.

02

Concept

A design direction takes shape: mood, materials, and spatial strategy presented for your review.

03

Design Development

The concept is resolved into detailed drawings, finishes, and furniture specifications ready for execution.

04

Execution

We coordinate the build — vendors, timelines, and site visits — so the design holds up in the real world.

05

Final Styling

The last layer: art, accessories, and finishing touches that make the space feel complete and lived-in.

Why Choose Us

A studio that stays with the project

We design with an eye on how the project will actually come together on site, not just how it renders.

A collaborative process

You're involved at every decision point — not just at the first pitch and the final reveal.

Attention to detail

From spatial proportion to hardware finishes, the small decisions get the same scrutiny as the big ones.

End-to-end execution

We stay involved through vendor coordination and site execution, not just the design drawings.

Design built around use

Every layout decision is weighed against how the space will actually be lived in or worked in day to day.
